The Trips team had a fantastic time at the VTCTA (the VICTAS Community Transport Association) Community Transport Conference last week. It was amazing to speak to and learn from others in the industry – we also had a lot of fun talking to others about the exciting updates we plan for our platform.
About the conference
According to VTCTA, Community Transport was dynamic and continued to deliver to our communities over these last few years. But the world has changed and our sector has too. And there are big changes to come in many ways including new proposed funding models.
The theme for this years conference is Sustainability. Environmental, Social and Financial Sustainability in every aspect of our sector, our organisations, services, employees and volunteers, marketing and our carbon footprints. There is no better time to join us for the two days we have planned to expand our learnings, share successes, be inspired, network and collaborate to continue to position our sector to be relevant, impactful and sustainable to enhance the lives of Tasmanians and Victorians.
The VTCTA is “the peak body for community transport in Tasmania and Victoria.” According to VTCTA, the sector is presently confronting the challenges and opportunities attached to the federal reforms in aged and disability services and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) systems. The VTCTA continues to be at the forefront of these developments, advocating and working with government and service providers to improve transport for people and communities across the states of Tasmania and Victoria.
As a community transport software provider that is passionate about improving the way community care providers manage transport, we are proud to be sponsors of such a vital event.
